A Present with a Difference

My 1st Years - Sheepskin Baby Shoes on Wriggly

We were given quite a few thoughtful gifts for our babies. Some of those presents will make their way to our children’s keepsakes, like Sophie la Girafe, cute hats, first pairs of shoes, tiny vests they wore in their first few days, favourite baby books or first ballet shoes.

There is absolutely no way I could part with the personalised presents they were given either, whether it be a bib, knitted booties, a towel or a football kit. They are simply too precious to be passed on to their siblings or given away.

When My 1st Years got in touch with me, I had never heard of them. Browsing their website was like being in a sweet shop to me! Everything they sell can be personalised and it I made a list of things I would like to receive for my children. I ended up with nine! I wanted fluffy dressing gowns in beautiful designs, crates for their soft toys, silver bracelets, sleepsuits; I just wanted all of it!

After much deliberation (mostly with myself), I decided to go with a pair of pink sheepskin baby shoes for Wriggly. It is the kind of item I could not justify spending money on, yet would love to receive as a present.

My 1st Years

After I had made up my mind, it only took a few days to receive Wriggly’s gift. I have to say I was impressed with the packaging. Her present arrived in a high quality, classy gift box. No need for wrapping is always a bonus in my books when buying something for a friend! It is a gorgeous shade of green with a white bow and My 1st Years’ logo.

The booties are beautifully made. They are a pastel shade of pink, with an incredibly soft, warm sheepskin lining and my little girl’s ‘bump name’ on the back.

They are very special indeed, and will make their way to Wriggly’s keepsake box when they no longer fit her. In the meantime, she shall be wearing them every time we are out. I will just pick outfits that match the booties.

My 1st Years - Sheepskin Baby Shoes Wriggly

Love but on a material aspect, something soft like a teddy/blanket for the baby, something nice for mum and something practical for the dad
