‘Free From’ Crackers & #FreeFromFridays

Happy Friday everyone!

This week, I have been really lazy with dinners. I’m not sure whether it’s the end of term feeling, the warmth or just a blasé attitude, but I’ve had crackers and cheese twice for dinner this week! I do love cheese, and recently discovered some really gorgeous Italian cheeses through a little project I am taking part in with Ciao Gusto.

I am not the only one with a soft spot for crackers! The lovely Kate, aka ‘The Gluten Free Alchemist,’ reviewed Nairn’s New Gluten Free Oat Snack Range. These little babies are out of this world, whether you are on a gluten-free diet or not, and they have been our favourite treats since we found them at the Allergy Show.

Rebecca’s gluten-free, egg-free, dairy-free and soy-free graham crackers look and sound perfect! It just shows that you can make anything and everything allergy-friendly with a bit of experimentation and patience.

What can I link?

Any blog post that features a recipe free from a common allergen (eg. milk, egg, nuts, gluten), posts about eczema, hay fever or allergy-related advice, experience or information.

When can I link?

#FreeFromFridays opens on Friday and closes on the following Monday just before midnight, but since we are slowing down for the summer holidays (yay!), I’ll leave it open until 19th August, and we’ll see you again on ‘Free From Farmhouse’ on Friday 1st September!

    Me too Mel, had it not been for our lovely fruit and veg box delivery, I’d have been giving the kids cereal each night for dinner (it has happened before!), so glad term is over now, time to recharge those batteries xxx

      You know what? A fruit and veg box sounds like heaven just now! I just had Nutella for dinner (as in half a jar of Nutella… for real!). x

    Haha – SNAP!!!! I have had oatcakes and cheese almost every day this week, desperately trying to get stuff done on the blog, so I can take a little time off with the kiddliwinks over the summer holidays (except my grand plan of only posting once a week over the summer seems to have gone a little awry as I am now posting 3 times next week – doh!). Wish I’d had the gorgeous array of cheeses you have had this week, though – all I’ve had in the house this week is cheddar, which I like, but gets a little dull if eaten EVERY DAY!!! Still only two weeks and we are off to the Loire Valley, where I fully Intend to indulge in every lovely cheese they’ve got going…and proper French bread, en lieu of crackers 😀 Eb x

      You are going to love the Loire Valley! Their rosé wine is one of my favourites (nicer than the Provence one, in my humble opinion!). Same here: I was planning to have a break, but my schedule is fuller than ever, gah!

    We are well into the make-up-a-meal part of summer here, too. 🙂 Today already has been an odd mix of oat&almond pancakes, handfuls of grape tomatoes, and quarters of oranges as we walk by the kitchen counter. #ilovesummertime Catch you all in September! N.

    Summer holidays are made for random meals (or is that the other way round?) Total grab and go!
    I seem to be getting nothing done right now….. too many competing demands and a pile of guilt thrown in has resulted in playing games and avoiding the computer…..
