‘Free From’ Desserts for Valentine’s Day & #FreeFromFridays

Hi lovely people!

I have been a bit quiet over the past couple of weeks because I was hacked (yes, again!) despite top-notch security on the blog. If you are a blogger, make sure you tighten the security on your site,  change your password to something impossible to crack (mixture of numbers, lower case letters, symbols and upper case letters, not spelling something) and set up automatic backups of your site.

Enough of the boring geeky talk, let’s have a bit of a romantic theme this week. After reading all the posts from last week, three stood out. They were full of love, colour and even better: they were sweet treats!

Picture this: a decadent dessert that is rich, creamy, full of flavours and topped with a crunchy caramel, add some berries and you have Kate’s White Chocolate & Raspberry Crème Brûlée.

Now check out these gorgeous Chocolate Strawberry Heart Kebabs by Nova at ‘Cherished by me.’ Don’t they look scrumptious? Chocolate covered strawberries just scream “Valentine’s Day!” and these kebabs look so cute. I will definitely be doing that with the little ones next week!

Egg-free Chocolate Muffins, you say? Oh yes, and they also happen to be in a heart-shaped muffin case. How cute are these? Check out Corina’s recipe here.

  1. Oh these sweet treat ideas are too cute! LOVE the kebab, genius.

    • Me too! They’re cute, aren’t they? We’re definitely making them with the kiddos. Off to buy strawberries later with the girls.

  2. So sorry to hear you got hacked! That must be awful – like having your house burgled. Is it all fixed now? Hope so. Hope it hasn’t put you back too much! Linking up my Curried Shepherd’s Pie with Sweet Potato Mash this week, which is free from most of the common allergens, but packed full of spices!! 🙂 Eb x

    • It’s all fixed now but I have wasted a ridiculous amount of time and there is still work to done on the site to reduce the risk of it happening again. It’s such a pain!

  3. Some really great free from ideas here, those strawberries especially!

  4. Glad you got it sorted. It’s so horrible when this happens.

  5. You’ve had a horrid week but you are very resilient…I’m in awe. I’d be in a dark hole sobbing. Hope next week is better xx

Ahhh thanks so much for featuring me!!! XX

  8. I’m pretty sure that I shouldn’t make the chocolate-dipped strawberries, just because I’d take a spoon to the rest of the dip in secret! Maybe I can get my kids to make them for me….

  9. Thanks for including my Brûlée!
Hacked again? Sounds awful! How do you know if you’ve been hacked?????

  14. This all looks delicious! I am sorry to hear about your blog, I hope all is sorted now. Just the other day I wrote the name of your blog to a lady at the post office. She was explaining to me that her in-laws were not eating eggs and that it was really hard to cook for them, maybe a new follower 😉 Helene xxx

  15. That kebab idea is genius! Definitely trying that one! Happy weekend Mel xx #FreeFromFridays
