I eat chocolate every day. It makes me happy. Dark chocolate (70 per cent or more) really is good for you (honest!). I could not live without it and here are 10 reasons why you should eat more chocolate (without binge eating it, obviously!):
1- It makes you feel good. Do you need any more reasons?
2- It is full of antioxidants which help your body fight disease.
3- It could reduce the risk of heart disease.
4- It can reduce the risk of stroke.
5- It is full of minerals like potassium, zinc and a 100g bar of 70% dark chocolate provides over 65% of the Recommended Dietary Allowance of iron.
6- It could improve your memory. A survey conducted over 40 years revealed that people who chocolate had a tendency to perform better in memory and cognitive tests than those who did not.
7- It can reduce cholesterol.
8- It can reduce anxiety by releasing endorphins.
9- It is good for the brain.
10- It tastes too good not to be enjoyed!
