I have just become a Wayfair Home Expert and with this little announcement, I thought I would share with you my list of kitchen utensils from Wayfair that would make perfect food styling props. What I love most about Wayfair is the range of items they sell goes from pretty cheap to luxurious items, so you can find things you can buy straight away, as well as items you’ll aspire to buy after saving a bit.
I’ve been shopping with Wayfair for a couple of years and the first things I ordered were styling props for my food photos. I also bought my power shower and other bathroom essentials from them when we had our loft conversion done. I also treated myself to a few retro ornaments when decorating my little office area, and I recently went for an outdoor rug for my patio.
I always have lots of items in my Pinterest-style ‘Idea Boards’ in my Wayfair account and I use them as inspiration for future projects. Today is all about kitchen gear you can have as food styling props, but also use everyday.
This artisan fruit bowl would be perfect to keep in the middle of the dining room table, to make sure fruit is always within reach for my children. Snacking on fruit means less biscuit requests, right? I can also see myself using it in the background for a photo of a fruit salad, fruit kebabs or homemade ice cream.
I love a cake stand. They make me happy. It’s all about the little things, right? This retro cake stand in powder blue is on my wish list now!
This cake slice is absolutely beautiful and would make any finished cake photo stand out. No doubt about that!
I absolutely love this set of four cake forks by Mary Berry:
I use a lot of honey in my recipes, and my children also have the sweet nectar in their porridge every morning, so this Alessi honey pot with its drizzler would be perfect for us (and for my photos!).
We make a lot of no-churn ice cream at home, and eat ice cream all the time in summer, so I’d love these pretty Alessi ice cream spoons.
This mechanical kitchen scale reminds me of the one we had when I was growing up, but it’s pink (it is PINK!). I love it!
Cutlery is something I keep looking for when I go to car boot sales, charity shops and my mum’s house! This set would be perfect for my food photos as it is matt.
My garlic press is on its way out and this little beauty would be a perfect replacement. It wouldn’t look too shabby in my photos either!
Mandoline slicers are normally pretty ugly and plasticky. This stainless steel one would make the perfect tool to use for recipes and photos:
Every baker needs a good loaf tin. This Circulon one looks perfect!
This set of four plates would be perfect for cake photos, and I love the fact they come in different colours!
This Karl Kruger milk pan is adorable!
Having glasses of all shapes and sizes is great when setting up a food shoot. I particularly like these tumblers, which wold be ideal for juice or sparkling water.
Tea towels, casually thrown next to the dish you are photographing, always enhance your photos. There’s something about the shape they create, the flow…
I find this one pretty unique:
How about this set of 3?
My oven gloves at home are a tad disgusting, but I wouldn’t mind a photo with these as I take a hot dish out of the oven!
Mixing bowls come in all shapes and sizes and this enamel bowl, with its soft pink hues, is truly picture perfect!
Every cook needs a copper pan in their kitchen, right? I haven’t got one. I. Need. One. Now!
These pastel teacups and saucers are so incredibly cute!
What do you think about my food styling picks? Is there anything else you would have included there?
Save me on Pinterest for later:
These picks are all gorgeous!
Thanks Rebecca!
Congratulations lovely, your picks are super stylish. I love those retro pink scales too, and that cute Karl Kruger milk pan. 🙂 xxx
I just want it all. All of it!!!
I love these. Especially the pink! scales. We need a new one so will go browse now.
Careful! Browsing Wayfair is a dangerous exercise: you could end up spending a lot of money. Don’t blame me!
I’m very much into retro so pride of place in my kitchen is a 1960’s blue and white Kenwood Chef – looks great with my vintage Pyrex and Tupperware collection…..
I’m really jealous! I’d love your retro Kenwood Chef in my kitchen!
So pretty! I want them all (but then of course I would have to deal with grumpy hubby who harumphs every time I buy a new ‘food styling’ item!!!) Eb x
Haha, I had to move all my plates and bowls from where they live today, for a bit of a DIY project, and there are loads of them! xxx
