4 ‘Free From’ Recipes to Try This Christmas & #FreeFromFridays

Hi everyone,

Welcome to #FreeFromFridays! Thanks for everyone who has been sharing the ‘free from’ love, whether it was your first time or you link week after week. I love this little ‘Free From’ community.

First of all, big apologies for my lateness in reading and sharing all your posts, the past couple of weeks have been incredibly busy, but I’m pretty sure we’re all on the same boat! I’ve now caught up with all your lovely ‘free from’ posts and “it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…”

Without further ado, here are the four posts that made me want to curl up by the fire and imagine it’s snowing outside.

Reneé’s gluten-free, egg-free nut roast sounds like my kind of side dish! I love nuts and I can picture myself making it using walnuts from my mum’s garden. It will have to wait until next year, and I am pretty sure the French side of my family would find it quite exotic. Anything that is not traditional French food is ‘exotic’ to them – egg sandwiches, fry up, anything vegetarian.

Rebecca, who blogs at ‘Strength and Sunshine,’ shares her take on stuffing that is safe for food allergies and would also make the perfect side dish on Christmas day.

When it comes to sweets, a couple of desserts have grabbed my attention over the past couple of weeks.

Kate, otherwise known as ‘The Gluten-Free Alchemist,’ never fails to impress with her creations, and I have to say that her Coffee Mocha Roulade is my kind of dessert, especially it is comes served with a latte! It looks stunning, doesn’t it?

Kaila’s vegan pumpkin spice balls sound like the perfect pick-me-up when you need a bit of a sweet treat without ending up scoffing all the chocolate in the cupboards. They would be perfect as a treat when we are watching TV and drinking cup of tea after cup of tea on Christmas evening, but I am not too sure where I would find the anti-grain pumpkin flour.

    Yey! I managed it…2 weeks in a row!!! Linking up my sausage & squash traybake today…it’s pretty much free from most things so long as the right sausages are used. And veggie sausages can be swapped in, if it needs to be veggie 🙂 Eb x

    Thanks so much for featuring my roulade in amongst such yummy recipes! The pumpkin spice balls sound really interesting, although I have to agree…. finding ‘anti-grain pumpkin flour’ could be a tricky search…. x

      My pleasure Kate. Your photos made my mouth water, as do most of your recipes to be honest! I’m planning to make a yule log this week to ‘rehearse’ for Christmas, as I haven’t made a roulade cake since I was 9 or 10, he he!
