5 Things I Couldn’t Live Without

Ramblings

Hi everyone! That’s a bit of a different one from me today. This afternoon, I stumbled upon a video by Colette, who blogs at ‘We’re Going on an Adventure’ and it was a chatty vlog for a ‘Vlog Stars’ challenge that takes place every month. I loved the theme, ‘5 things I couldn’t live without,’ and decided to get filming.

Now if you know me, you will be aware that spontaneity is not exactly my forte. I am into planning and taking my time (A lot of time. I’m so slow it’s painful!) to do things, but I liked the idea of the challenge and actually doing something in the spur of the moment. My older two were at a neighbour’s house for a playdate, the younger two had made themselves a bed in the front room and were engrossed in the TV. I got my camera out, put it on a gorilla pod (that’s a small tripod), then placed that on top of a trunk suitcase that was on a small bedside table… I would normally use a tripod, but I gave one of them to my father-in-law and have to collect the other one from Sweet as a Button.

A thick layer of make up was applied, and I filmed my little video without thinking. I love watching vlogs on YouTube, you see, but I feel like a complete idiot when I am recording my own videos. Talking to a lens is not (yet) my favourite thing in the world, but I’ll get there!

With no further ado, here are the 5 things I couldn’t live without:

If like me, you are trying to get better at that vlogging lark, here is some more information: the linky goes live on the second Thursday of each month and is open for two weeks for you to link up your vlogs on a set theme, either on Katy’s blog, or on Colette’s.

Is there anything you couldn’t live without?

You don’t look like an idiot – you look BEAUTIFUL! You are just so naturally lovely. I’m completely with you on the sunshine. Ah I love my Mac too! I am a complete Apple junkie! x

Thank you so much Donna, it means so much. I think I felt quite relaxed this time in front of my lens because it was completely unplanned. When I think too much about it I am so tense I cringe looking at the video, yuck!

Oh, and before I turned on the camera, I slapped on a large dose of makeup!!

Love your video and your little girl coming in was so sweet! I would have to have my scissors, glue, scrap papers, rubber stamps and ink.
