Give Me All the Chocolate & #FreeFromFridays

Happy Friday, world! This week has been a busy one and my four have been under the weather, so I’m looking forward to a semi-quiet weekend cuddling on the sofa with my little ones.

I don’t know if it’s because the days are getting shorter or because of the bitter wind outside, but I just want all the chocolate at the moment. All of it! It’s no surprise I’ve focused on chocolate-themed recipes this week, really.

The first recipe I spotted from last week’s linky is Rebecca’s Vegan Instant Hot Chocolate Mix. Topped with her vegan marshmallow fluff, it looks absolutely perfect on a cold November night!

Kate’s homemade Chocolate-Hazelnut Spread is my kind of treat! Nothing quite beats a slice of homemade bread slathered in a thick layer of Nutella-like spread.

Last but not least, picture this: a chocolate tart base made with biscuits, chocolate, sea salt and butter… I am in heaven already, but Rebecca didn’t just make an empty shell. She filled this beauty  of a Gluten Free Salted Chocolate Tart with cocoa, double cream, coffee and a little salt (plus a few other ingredients, but you get the gist). I want a slice now!

It’s #FreeFromFridays Time again!

Hi Mel, it’s really cold here in Dublin as well, some hot chocolate sounds amazing. Have a great weekend. 🙂

Sorry to hear your kiddos have been under the weather this week. They have my sympathies as I have been the same – a rotten cold got me. But luckily super hubby swooped in and did all the kiddie stuff and I could just about handle the blog stuff…though there was a lot more staring vacantly at a computer screen than usual!! Those recipes you have shared are truly chocotastic and I would be drooling…except I am at this very moment stuffing my face with chocolate! (But still actually drooling a bit anyway!) Enjoy your snuggly weekend. Eb x

Oh no, go away, cold! When you start staring at the screen and doing nothing, your bed is calling you! I find that I do that a lot when I’m not 100% well and sometimes, hours disappear and I have achieved nothing. Oh so frustrating!

It sure is the perfect weather for hot chocolate. I may have to grab myself some marshmallows 😊.

It really does… Rebecca… are you gonna bake one for me? I’m your friend, right?

My pleasure: I love homemade nutty chocolate spread! I agree about Rebecca’s tart… I might try to get her to invite me for coffee and chocolate tart (nudge, nudge, Rebecca!).

Who doesn’t love a good chocolate recipe, Mel?! This palatable treat is an excellent idea for people with a sweet tooth like me. 🙂
