I hope your ‘free from’ journey is a smooth and uneventful one at the moment. Just like two weeks ago, nothing has been happening around here. ‘Nothing’ is positive in a way (we have no had a single reaction in months), but it feels a bit like we’re in limbo with our yearly dose of allergy testing. In fact, we have not heard a peep since the December blood tests, but hey ho, Jumpy is well and that is all that matters.
In the past couple of weeks, I have noticed more and more colourful recipes being shared in #FreeFromFridays and although it is cold and grey around here, it feels like spring is only around the corner, or so I keep telling myself…
I chose a few ‘Free From’ Snacks and Treats with a Twist to share with you today.
We are all mad about houmous at home so this Roasted Red Pepper & Chilli Hummus by ‘Charlotte’s lively Kitchen’ is right up our street, with its vibrant colour and the kick of chillies.
Vegan Chocolate Muffins, anyone? Look at these babies, by ‘The Peachicks’ Bakery.’ Don’t they look perfect? More than that there is a twist to this recipe with the addition of coffee granules. Now we’re talking!
Jumpy absolutely loves ginger biscuits and these Ginger Thins by ‘Allergy Mums’ look and sound perfect (we will just have to make them wheat-free).
This Pineapple Carpaccio With Chilli and Mint Served with Coconut Yoghurt by ‘Tara’s Busy Kitchen’ is an quick recipe you can rustle up at any time of the day.
Last but not least, Kate at ‘The Gluten Free Alchemist’ came up with this beauty of a cake: Pistachio, Lime & Olive Oil Cake with Blackcurrant Drizzle (gluten & dairy free).
