Although I love watching my children play, chat, taught, fight and generally interact with each other, I have always stuck to just observing them quietly or taking photos of them. I have some little videos, but not that many. Four months ago, a group of fab creative bloggers and I came up with Snapshots & Scenes, a monthly project focusing on video and photos. The idea is simple: as you are enjoying the little moments with your family, record them on film or on camera and share them with the world, ideally through photo and video.
On the first Monday of every month, we put together a short video of no more than 60 seconds, to capture the essence of the month just gone. I generally start with about 30 minutes of footage, and although it is tough to select a clip rather than another, or to trim it so much that only 1 second remains, it is also pretty satisfying to see those snippets, the absolute gold nuggets from our month just gone. I have a lot to learn, so bear with me, but I’m having fun! Scroll to the bottom to join us!

Thanks Anna-Marie! I am really loving putting together random clips of our month 🙂
Oh hunny I love your photos and videos each month. You are so talented in your filming and your snapping. The lighting is always perfection. Your little ones always adorable and happy in every capture in every smile. You can see pure happiness in each one of them. This is stunning. Loving this project. Hope little one finds out what allergy has popped up. 🙂 #snapshots&scenes
Thanks honey, that means a lot, especially your comments about happiness. These 4 are my little sunshines 🙂
What lovely bright pictures, I love that orange dress! Love that you included a trip to the dentist. The every day stuff 🙂
I love that dress too. I wish I could get it in my size! The every day stuff is often the best 🙂
Oh I hope you enjoyed having a babysitter and managed to get some you time! It looks like you had such a fun month. I love your little clips. You seem to have so much fun as a family playing games and learning together! 😀 xx
It’s really nice having a babysitter! She’s so lovely too: the children keep asking when she’s coming back. We definitely have fun together: these 4 kiddos really crack me up!
I love how bright your video is Mel, what do you use to capture the snapshots on? I also love how you have captured some of the ordinary moments to and managed to get all your littles on. See you on Monday for another x
I use my DSLR for everything. I tend to overexpose a bit, and I film loads of tiny clips all month: I’m really enjoying this little project of ours. xxx
