Hello strangers! Let me start by apologising for being so quiet over the past few months. Life has been well and truly full on and some things had to give. That’s mostly why this little online space took a back seat. I’m back now and I wanted to share our little Snapshots & Scenes from December. I know, I know, it’s a bit late to share Christmas photos, but who cares? It makes me happy, so there you go…
First, let me set the scene and explain what this is all about. At the start of most months, I put together a Snapshots and Scenes video and blog post about the highlights of the previous month. It’s my favourite thing to do! I started doing it a couple of years ago when I decided to film little snippets of our daily lives. I’d never really done that before. I had tried to capture the milestones, the ‘big’ moments like the first steps, the first bike ride without stabilisers, bits of Christmas concerts and daring first attempts on the zip wire at the park. What I wasn’t recording was the everyday stuff, the ‘little things’ that made me feel so grateful for what I have. Now I do!
Our December was all about…
- Writing to Father Christmas
- Christmas crafts
- Making Christmas decorations
- A trip to France
- Playing with cousins
- Puzzles
- Decluttering & getting rid of rubbish
- Chilling
- Taking time to just be with each other
- Celebrating Mamie’s 60th birthday
- Making brownie kits for the children’s teachers
- Playing on the Switch
- Christmas!

It feels so good to be back!
Gorgeous post, darling. Can’t wait for our catch up in a few weeks 😘
