Snapshots & Scenes from February 2018

Fun with the Little Ones, Kids' Corner

I love the end of February and the beginning of March! I know, I know, it’s snowing. March should be all about Spring showing its face, but you know what? I don’t care! Days are longer. There is so much more daylight than a month or two ago. Let’s come out of hibernation, everyone!

The Snapshots and Scenes post I put together every month is my favourite thing. It all started a few months ago when I first filmed little snippets of our daily lives. I’d never really done that before. I had tried to capture the milestones, the ‘big’ moments like the first steps, the first bike ride without stabilisers, bits of Christmas concerts and daring first attempts on the zip wire at the park. What I wasn’t recording was the everyday stuff, the ‘little things’ that make me feel so happy.

Last summer,  a group of creative bloggers and I came up with Snapshots & Scenes, a monthly project focusing on video and photos. The idea is simple: as you are enjoying ‘the little things’ with your family, record them on camera, film them on your phone or ‘big’ camera and share your favourite bits, ideally through photo and video.

On the day of every month, I put together a short video of 60 seconds or so, to capture the essence of the month just gone. I generally start with what seems like hours of footage, and although it’s tough to select a clip rather than another, or to trim it so much that only 1 second remains, it’s also pretty satisfying to see those snippets of our daily lives, the absolute gold nuggets from our month just gone. I have a lot to learn, so bear with me, but I’m having fun! Just scroll to the bottom to join us!

I have joined in with my first Snapshot and Scenes, however I have only linked up a video. I hope that is OK? It sounds like a lovely month, apart from your back pain.

It’s absolutely fine to just link a video. Loved yours! It’s so nice to spend lots of time outdoors, isn’t it?

I really like the idea of filming and sharing a few shoots from the month. Going to do it this month and will take part next month #LikedandLoved

Thanks hun. It was a really good February actually. I think we’ve done a lot more than we normally do in winter (or maybe it feels like hat because I’m filming snippets of stuff). x
