Snapshots & Scenes from June

Fun with the Little Ones, Kids' Corner

Although I love watching videos of my children, I tend to take photos of them rather than filming them in action. When I film short clips, I do absolutely nothing with them. Just me? In come Snapshots & Scenes, a monthly project a group of fab creative bloggers and I are taking part in. The idea is simple: as you are enjoying the little moments with your family, record them on film or on camera and share them with the world, ideally through photo and video.

On the first Monday of every month, I will be putting together a short video of no more than a minute, to capture the essence of the month just gone. I really love a challenge. It helps me focus and have a good go at doing something new. I have a lot to learn, so bear with me.

Why not join us by linking your own Snapshots & Scenes from the past month?

Our June has been all about:

  • eating ice cream
  • having Poppy (grandad) home for a few days
  • Jumpy turning 3
  • chickenpox
  • enjoying the sunshine
  • observing the life cycle of a butterfly
  • a visit from my mum, nephew and sister-in-law
  • trips to Primark
  • a fun day at the farm

On the first Monday of every month, I will be putting together a Snapshots & Scenes video. This is our June in just 60 seconds.

Snapshots & Scenes… What’s that?

‘Snapshots & Scenes’ is a monthly project to focus on telling a story through video and photos. It can be a summary of the past month or highlight a special occasion or the little things.

Who can join in?

Absolutely anyone! We would love to find out about your little and big adventures, see what you did in June and hear your stories.

Who is behind Snapshots & Scenes?

Here is the team behind Snapshots & Scenes. My co-hosts are all talented photographers who have a lovely story to tell and it is a real honour to be amongst this inspirational bunch.

Kerri-Ann – ‘Life as Our Little Family’

Hayley – ‘Shutterflies’

Jenny – ‘Let’s Talk Mommy’

Chloe – ‘Sorry About the Mess’

Maria – ‘One Tiny Leap’

Sara-Jayne – ‘Keeping Up With the Jones Family’

Amber – ‘Meet the Wildes’

and little me!

There seems to be such a lot of chicken pox around at the moment, hope yours haven’t been suffering too badly with it. Loved your video, so summery and full of fun and happy times.

They’re over it now, thank goodness! I’ve really enjoyed making this little video although I really have no idea what I’m doing yet!

Beautiful video, you are so very clever! Great idea too…I shall enjoy this as an extension of your monthly written update of your family. This is going to be SO valuable when the kids are all grown up. Beautiful idea. x

Thanks sweetie. I really enjoyed recording the little moments on video for a change. It’s so nice to see their facial expressions and their mannerisms 🙂

Oh I am so excited for this project to kick off. I have plans for next month while I am in America and hopefully the mountain wifi won’t let me down uploading either. Off to watch your video and your photos are always just so stunning girl. They inspire me to take better ones of my little ones.

Thanks honey. I haven’t had this much fun in a very long time. What a challenge to narrow it down to a minute though!
