Snapshots & Scenes from September 2018

Fun with the Little Ones, Kids' Corner

Every month, I put together a Snapshots and Scenes video and blog post about the previous month and it’s my favourite thing to do. It all started a few months ago when I first filmed little snippets of our daily lives. I’d never really done that before. I had tried to capture the milestones, the ‘big’ moments like the first steps, the first bike ride without stabilisers, bits of Christmas concerts and daring first attempts on the zip wire at the park. What I wasn’t recording was the everyday stuff, the ‘little things’ that made me feel so happy.

Our September was all about…

  • Beanie has a Dogson!
  • London Transport Museum with Reneé and her gang
  • The Lion King musical (Beanie won our tickets at the Yellow Zebra Safari event)
  • Last playgroup for Jumpy & Wriggly
  • A new school year
  • Sleepovers
  • Mini YouTubers making slime
  • Pancakes
  • Haircuts
  • No hot water again
  • Car boot sale
  • 11+ for Crevette
  • Mr Nibbles the hamster
  • Big Autumn clean
  • House valuations
  • A pilates retreat in France for Mummy
  • Drama at home
  • A visit from Poppy
  • Beanie’s 8th birthday
  • Rainbow cakes
  • Cubs

This is such a lovely idea what you have done – a lovely keepsake to have these videos and beautiful photographs. I would love to try and do something similar.

I started doing it over a year ago and I love looking back at the videos. It’s also a great way for my family to follow our adventures from France.

Thanks lovely! She had a great birthday. Feels like the whole of September was spent celebrating her 8th birthday and she loved it!

We’re always so busy… I sometimes think, “Oh, we didn’t do much this month!” then I put my little Snapshots & Scenes video together and realise that we haven’t stopped! Love being busy with these 4!

It’s all about the little things 🙂 Even when I have a rubbish time, I just need to look at these little faces and they brighten up even the darkest day!

I’ve said it before I know but your children are just beautiful! It looks like you’ve had a fantastic month together and you’re teaching them some great life skills such as cooking! Love watching your family on Instagram x

We always do loads. I guess you have to with a larger-than-average family. When I try to stay at home for a day or so, we all get cabin fever pretty quickly.

We always seem to be doing so much when I look back at those little videos. At the time, it just feels like we’re not up to that much, but every month is pretty crammed in with fun stuff, even if it’s just going to the park or having sleepovers with friends 🙂
