Star Wars, Lego and Sweets

Fun with the Little Ones, Kids' Corner

Planning Crevette’s birthday party prompted some imaginative play at home during an afternoon spent on my own with little man whilst his sisters were having a nap.

We had time, Star Wars Lego characters and sweets. Crevette really enjoyed being creative, and I had fun taking the photos whilst chatting with my little man (and stealing a few gummy bears in the process).

Crevette made up a story. Here it is. Please do not judge my Star Wars lack of knowledge. I have none!

Star Wars, Lego & Sweets - Ewoks Defeated

It all started when Darth Vader defeated the Ewoks (Koala Gummy Bears). Luckily, three of them escaped.

They managed to get help and Yoda trained them to be Jedis.

After a long fight, the cute little bears killed Darth Vader.

Crevette just went freestyle after that and I kept wondering when he would get tired of all this so we could eat all the Koala Gummy Bears…

This little improvised activity was really enjoyable and kept us entertained for over an hour. You really do not need much to have a great time!

Great idea Mel! I miss the days of naps and having one child to play with on their own. My 2 rarely want to do the same thing these days making playing quite hard! Have no idea how you have time to blog with kids about…I find it pretty impossible! Even doing this is pushing it…a fight is likely to erupt between kids!

I am lucky they still enjoy playing together, or at least alongside each other. I write my little posts when the children are in bed and half of the time, I struggle to string words together!

Lovely imagination and it looks like a lot of fun, although those sweets wouldn’t have stood a chance if I was around…

I couldn’t agree with you more. As parents we feel the pressure of making sure our kids get those cool toys and keep busy with classes and activities but sometimes creativity and a little quality time is all they need (well most of the time) the rest is just a bonus. I love this. Thank you so much for linking up to Share With Me #sharewithme

You are right, Jenny. Children can be overstimulated these days. Having fun with no agenda (other than eating sweets!) is great!
